Announcing this season's on-board menu,
by Sydney's award-winning MasterChef Grant King


With a harbour like ours, every lunch in Sydney is an occasion - whether it's corporate, family or a romantic occasion. But when you're feasting on creations catered by one of Sydney's best-known chefs, lunch afloat on the Alila is almost irresistible! And that's why our Sydney Harbour Lunch Cruise by catamaran is so popular.


We are very proud of our association with Grant King (below left), and can't rave enough about his work at Smile Catering. Otherwise known as the talented head chef behind Gastro Park, awarded two chef's hats under his tutelage, he also took top restaurant Pier from two hats to three hats, and a spot in the top 100 restaurants in the world.


In case he looks familiar - yes, he has also been a guest judge on Australian MasterChef for two seasons. And all this expertise is easily seen in his beautifully crafted cuisine, served up with love on the Alila for you. From a simple grazing board to Sydney's spectacular seafood, we think Grant's cuisine is a perfect match with the fresh air, sparkling blue water and gold-star views that a day on Sydney Harbour serves up, too.

This season's menu


Grazing Board

Truffle salami, prosciutto, a selection of premium cheeses, presented with crackers, grapes, French cornichons and stuffed olives ($15 per person)


BBQ packages

 The simple Aussie 'barbie' with beef and chicken sausages, accompanied by coleslaw ($20 per person)

Gourmet local sausages, teriyaki chicken kebabs, potato salad, bean and avocado salad ($30 per person)

Whole roasted, grain-fed Australian eye fillet steak, lamb chops, green bean and avocado salad, Moroccan couscous salad ($50 per person)

All BBQ packages are served with fresh-baked bread rolls and a selection of sauces


Sydney's famous seafood

Whole tiger prawns, served cooked, accompanied by lemon and mayonnaise ($40 per person)

Seared Deep sea scallops with cauliflower and truffle puree, avocado and green bean salad with toasted pine nuts, served with fresh-baked bread rolls ($POA)

Oysters, lobster and any other seafood is available on request, procured for you fresh from the famous Sydney Fish Markets in preparation for your visit or stay onboard Alila. Please allow a five-day window for purchasing and delivery.

All catering will be onboard and safely packed away awaiting your arrival – all you need to remember is ice for the Esky!
